Surf with Sunset Waves Surf and discover suitable breaks along the coast from Agadir to Imsouane. We are based in Imi Ouaddar, approximately 7 km north of Taghazout. Your local guide, Mohamed Bahnini, has seven years of surfing and guiding experience and uses his knowledge of the coast to help you choose a spot for your ability and the day’s waves, wind and ocean conditions.

 

Before the session, Mohamed discusses your surfing experience and the kind of waves you want. He recommends suitable options, explains the conditions, and lets you choose from the practical spots available that day. A requested spot cannot be guaranteed: if it is unsafe or unsuitable, the plan may move to another break.

 

This service is for surfers who can swim and paddle out independently. Intermediate and advanced surfers are welcome. Experienced beginners may also join if they have surfed several times and can swim and paddle out. You do not need to be able to catch unbroken waves without help because Mohamed can help you with positioning and wave selection. Complete beginners should book a surf lesson instead.

Surf-Guiding Options and Prices

Group Surf Guiding — $40 per Person

Join other capable surfers for a locally guided session. There is no fixed maximum group size; SW Surf adds another guide when the number of surfers or their needs require it.

Private Surf Guiding — $80 per Person

Book a private surf lesson in Taghazout for your own party, with focused instruction adapted to the surfers in your booking. The $50 per-person price applies to private bookings of two or more people and includes transportation between Agadir and Imsouane.

One-to-One Private Surf Lesson — $60

Book private guiding for your own party. The $80 per-person rate applies to private bookings of two or more people and includes transportation between Agadir and Imsouane.

One-to-One Private Surf Guiding — $120

A solo private session costs $120 and gives one surfer an individual plan with transportation included.

Half-Day and Full-Day Surf Guiding

Half-day and full-day guiding can be arranged for surfers who want more time or to explore more of the coast. These are custom services rather than fixed-price extensions of the standard session. The route, duration, transportation plan and final price are agreed with the customer before booking.

Multi-Day Surf Guiding

Choose the number of guiding days that suits your trip. A multi-day discount may be applied, with the schedule and final package price confirmed according to the requested number of days and the guiding plan.

Meeting Point

The agreed surf spot, pickup point or another convenient meeting place between Agadir and Imsouane. The exact location is confirmed after discussing your level and checking the day’s conditions.

Lesson Start Time

Morning and afternoon sessions are available. The exact start time changes with the waves and ocean conditions and is confirmed before the session.

End of the Standard Session

Your guide is in the water with you for approximately 90 minutes. You may then surf independently for up to one additional hour, giving a maximum total water time of approximately two hours and 30 minutes. Mohamed will not remain in the water with you during that optional independent hour.

Surf Locations, Meeting and Transportation

Surf Area

Guiding is available along the Atlantic coast from Agadir to Imsouane. Depending on ability, access and current conditions, possible locations may include Anza, K11, K12, Banana Point, Spiders, Devil’s Rocks, Croco, K17, Panorama Point, Hash Point, Anchor Point, Mysteries, La Source Beach, Killer Point, Camel Point, Desert Beach, Desert, Draculas, Boilers, Tamri, Imsouane Bay and Cathedral Point.

This list describes the service area; it is not a promise that every spot will be available or visited. Wave quality, weather and uncrowded conditions cannot be guaranteed.

How the Spot Is Chosen

You may request a particular spot. Mohamed first discusses your level and checks the forecast and current conditions, then explains which practical options are suitable. You choose from those options. If your requested break is unsuitable, he may recommend or require a different location.

Transportation Area

Transportation can be arranged between Agadir and Imsouane, including Anza, Aourir, Tamraght, Taghazout and Imi Ouaddar.

When Transportation Is Included

  • Transportation is included with every private session, including one-to-one guiding.
  • Transportation is included with a group booking of five or more people.
  • For a group booking of fewer than five people, transportation may be available for an additional charge based on the pickup location. The charge is confirmed before booking.

Return Arrangement

If transportation is included, the return plan is agreed before the session. Customers who meet at the surf spot finish there unless another arrangement has been confirmed.

Additional Information

Required Surfing Ability

  • You must be able to swim and paddle out.
  • Intermediate and advanced surfers are welcome.

Boards and Surfing Styles

Surfers using different board types may join. Tell SW Surf about your level, preferred board and surfing style when booking so suitable equipment and a practical location can be discussed.

Your Guide in the Water

Mohamed normally enters the water and surfs with customers, providing advice on the spot, positioning, wave choice and technique. For a professional surfer who does not need in-water assistance, the guiding plan may be adjusted by agreement. During the optional hour of independent surfing after a standard session, Mohamed is not in the water with the customer.

Large Groups

There is no fixed maximum group size. SW Surf adds guides according to the number of participants, their experience and the conditions.

Accurate Level Information and Safety

Describe your swimming and surfing ability honestly when booking. If the selected conditions are unsuitable for your actual level, SW Surf may change the spot, recommend changing the booking to a surf lesson, or stop participation when continuing would be inappropriate. Every surfer must follow the guide’s safety instructions.

Booking and Payment

Book through the website, WhatsApp or email. Same-day booking may be available when requested at least five hours before the session. Payment can be made in cash or by card through the website. Half-day and full-day bookings receive a custom price that is confirmed before payment.

Changes, Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before the agreed start time to receive a refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session are not refundable.
  • If a customer arrives late, SW Surf may move the booking to another available time or day, but a refund is not provided.
  • If the planned conditions are unsuitable, Mohamed checks alternative spots first. SW Surf may then change the location or, when necessary, the time or day.

How Your Surf-Guiding Session Works

  1. Choose your guiding option. Select a standard group, private or one-to-one session, or ask for a custom half-day, full-day or multi-day plan.
  2. Tell us about your surfing. Provide your full name and WhatsApp number, then describe your swimming ability, surfing experience, preferred board and the waves or spots you are interested in.
  3. Review the available spots. Mohamed checks the forecast and conditions, explains which locations between Agadir and Imsouane are suitable for your level, and discusses any spot you requested.
  4. Confirm the plan. Choose from the suitable options and receive the exact morning or afternoon time, meeting place, transportation details and price. Custom half-day and full-day details are confirmed at this stage.
  5. Prepare at the spot. Collect your surfboard and wetsuit, review the conditions, entry and exit, hazards and session plan, and follow the guide’s safety instructions.
  6. Surf with your guide. During a standard session, Mohamed normally enters the water with you for approximately 90 minutes and helps with positioning, wave selection and technique. The plan may differ for a professional surfer by prior agreement.
  7. Continue independently if you choose. After the guided part, you may surf for up to one additional hour. This time is independent and Mohamed will not remain in the water with you.
  8. Finish and return. Return the included equipment and follow the transportation plan confirmed before the session.

Can I book on the same day?

Can I buy photos and video?

What happens if my surfing level is different from the level I provided?

What is the cancellation policy?
